The Design Concept Inspiration:
This luxury hotel lobby design is a collaboration between Shalini Misra Ltd and Scarlet Splendour. The design borders classical and contemporary, where traditional glamour is paired with a contemporary sensibility of exquisite, dazzling elegance.
High-quality opulent materials are chosen throughout to keep to this style’s promise of luxury.
The space creates a welcoming and dramatic scene from the entrance reception desk through to the seating area opposite. The bold sculptural statement reception desk with bubble forms and feature fret screen wall makes a fascinating focal point in golden hues. Glass chandeliers above echo the bubble forms of the desk below as they shine overhead.
Chic colour hues are chosen carefully to achieve a neutral backdrop to the feature furniture elements. Timeless hues of gold, silver and white are combined and paired with a light, neutral stone floor palette, with an elegant through pattern, leading the guests from the reception desk to the seating area.
The luxuriously eccentric and handcrafted furniture pieces, such as the elegant storage cabinets and credenzas, single seaters, three-seater sofas and decorative pouffes are an integral part of the overall look of the lobby, bringing character and playfulness to the social space.
The lobby seating is arranged to encourage guests to move items around to create their own comfortable groups of social seating. Stunning chandeliers create ambient lighting above, delineating the two seating areas, encouraging guests to sit and relax in the community-oriented spaces.
Fabrics and surfaces are both stylish and functional with a variety of textures and patterns in the sofas, pillows, and decorative items. A material palette of velvets, soft billowy sheepskins and geometric pattern satins create a comfortable and luxurious feel.
Bold, large scale contemporary art creates a colourful focal point beside the seating area to complement the luxury design .
Natural light from the full height windows and fresh green planters bring life and vibrancy to the moody interior.
Scent is linked to both emotions and memory. Scented candle holders on the coffee tables create a pleasant atmosphere in the lobby and leave a strong impression for a long time after checkout.
